Terms and conditions

On the day of your appointment I will need a suitable place to park a large van outside your house with access to a plug socket. If I turn up and a suitable space is unavailable your appointment will be cancelled and you will still be charged for your appointment.

Please ensure your dog has had chance to go to the toilet before my arrival.

Please do not feed your dog for 1 hour before your appointment as sometimes it can unsettle their stomach and make them vomit, especially if they are a nervous dog.

To keep a flea free salon, unfortunately I will be unable to groom your dog if they have fleas. If fleas are found during the groom, the appointment will be terminated, the groom will be charged accordingly and a fee of £10 will be added to ensure the van is cleaned appropriately prior to the next appointment.

Should your dog be matted, it may be that the only option is to clip your dog short. Brushing matting out is painful for your dog and is not something I will do. It is possible that irritation could occur after the clip due to the matting or skin conditions may become visible after removing the matted hair. I will not be held liable for this as regular grooming, both at home and professionally, is needed to prevent this. A charge of £5-£10 will be added to your appointment as removing matting blunts my blades and requires more time.

Please inform me of any behavioural issues your dog may have. This includes aggression or tendency to bite and fear reactivity. I will always try my best to work with every dog but sometimes it is in the best interest to terminate the groom if the dog becomes too stressed or is too aggressive. If the groom is terminated due to poor behaviour then the groom will be charged accordingly.

Unfortunately I am unable to groom a dog that is in season, pregnant or lactating. Please inform me as soon as you are aware so that we can rearrange your appointment.

Please inform me of any medical conditions you are aware your dog has so I can groom accordingly. Grooming of elderly or sick dogs is entirely at the owners risk and I cannot be held liable for exposure of any illness or health problems that occur during or after the groom. Please notify me of any changes to your dog’s health before each appointment.

Please give at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment. This gives me time to fill the appointment space. Any appointments cancelled within 48 hours will be charged 50% of their appointment and no shows will be charged in full. This will be payable before rebooking. I fully understand that emergencies happen for everyone and this fee will be waivered at my discretion.

Payment must be made before I leave. I accept cash, bank transfer, payment link and card payment.
